“I daresay, you should give it a poking.”

“What a saucy lass you are. Get on the bed and I shall give you a proper poking.”

Danielle fluttered her eyelids and hid her expression. The Duke’s attentions could mean an escape from the kitchen. Who knew? Maybe even nurse… and a room upstairs. But she had to keep his interest.

“Good sir, perhaps instead of the peaches, you’d prefer something sweeter.”

“And what do you recommend?”

“Perhaps a cherry?”

Below, an ambulance blared by the hotel and the Duke broke character. “Can we just get naked? Our reservation’s at 8:00.”

    Laughing out loud, literally! I’m not sure the poor lass will be quite as wiling to break character – just getting naked – takes all the fun out of it. 🙂

    The Duke seems a little excited. I hope it’s not premature to speculate that he may not be able to satisfy the young lass in his hastiness. Let’s hope he doesn’t soil his knickers.

    Ah, role play interruptus. No fun. That was cleverly written and very entertaining. The dirtier part of my mind (which is about 99% of it) wants you to finish the story in great detail. 🙂
