   Great article. Charles Bowden wrote a lot about how dangerous life is for the women working in the maquiladoras that sit astride the borders in towns like Nogales, Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez. Kidnapping, murder, and of course brutal rape are daily facts for these women. Ms. Aguilar Gil sounds like the bravest woman on the planet.

   A truly exceptional woman.

   How she summons the courage and will in the face of such insurmountable odds and atrocious crimes against humanity…it is beyond my comprehension.
